Detailed description of the Caring for the Destination Initiative: 

The Dalaman river is still running even though a large dam is being built for the last 15 years (it is almost finished) The result is that a whole village had to move either above the lake level or to other villages in the area. Many people have lost their regular income or self-supportive way of living.

Thanks to the rafting companies, many jobs have been provided to the locals, such as cooks, drivers and guides. Locals are now still able to continue living in the same area.
