Accommodation in Dalyan
Please do bring comfortable walking shoes for the ancient site as well shoes/trainers that are allowed to get wet.
Bring enough water or money to buy water on the way.
Lunch is included, drinks are extra.
Don't forget hats, sunglasses, sun cream and your camera.
Flip flops are not good footwear for this type of day out!
Saklikent & Tlos
Saklikent is famous for its beautiful clear water and scenic gorge. Families can enjoy a nice morning out here. You can walk as far as you want and enjoy many rock scrambles, slides and pools.
The ancient city of Tloss has been on the World Heritage list since 2009 and has a huge amphitheater, painted rock tombs and a castle with a view over the valley.
Pick up at 09:00 from your accommodation in Dalyan.
10:30 Start walking in the Saklikent Gorge, as far as you can go (within a set time). Please be aware that you get wet so bring trainers or watershoes/sandals so you will be able to enjoy your walk. A nice picnic area with tables and sheltered under trees is available for those who would rather watch the others walking.
12:00 Lunch at a restaurant.
13:00 Departure to the Ancient city of Tlos
13:45 Entrance to the ancient city of Tlos. The theatre is set slightly higher up the hill than the rest of the city. You can visit the rocktombs, agora, castle and many more ruins here. They have been preserved very well in the past 2000 years.
16:00 Depart for Dalyan
17:30 Arrival in Dalyan
