Caretta Retreat Centre Winter Period

The retreat centre at the Iztuzu beach has opened its doors for public visits also during the winter. The centre is open from 10:00 until 18:00.
Every two hours there is a general explantion about how they treat the turtles, what they do, etc.
Meanwhile, 3 turtles are kept and taken care of. Most have been injured by boat propellors. All will recover, but it takes a long time.
You can see the famous Caretta Caretta turtle from nearby, so close you can almost touch them.
Feel free to visit during one of your trips to the beach and feel free to ask questions at the people who run the centre, and feel free to donate to help to give the turtles a better life.
